Congratulations to our tribunal representative who assisted this week’s client with a PIP appeal, Our client was awarded standard rate daily living and mobility, this equates to around £60 a week for care and £23.70 a week for the mobility element , therefore a total award of £83.30 per week.
Our client’s claim was also backdated to 2018 being the date of the claim. Resulting in her receiving a backdated payment of around £13,500.
This is an excellent outcome for our client especially as their appeal had been postponed since 2018 until now.

MEACAS Weekly Round Up
This week’s client is someone who has been having difficulty with her UC (Universal Credit) application. Our client suffers with mental health issues and anxiety which have been exasperated trying to manage the online journal for UC. The client was informed by UC that she should have been receiving £247.44 per week, however, she was receiving far short of this, without any reason as to why. She contacted our telephone advice line and explained her case to one of our advisors who was able to contact UC on her behalf, request a breakdown of her payment. Shortly afterwards the client received notification that going forward she would receive the full payment.
UC can be a very daunting benefit to navigate and is a good example of how we can assist clients to resolve any issues they are experiencing. So, if you are in similar circumstances, please contact us and we will do our best to help you.
